Wouldn\u2019t you agree?<\/p>\n<p>\u2026and sugar makes us FAT. Any excess sugar that cannot be&nbsp;stored in your body for energy will be transformed into<br \/>\ntriglycerides\u2026<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Triglycerides = FAT<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Worst of all would be that Sugar is&nbsp;ADDICTIVE\u2026that\u2019s right, Click here and read the&nbsp;article<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In 1977 EVERYTHING changed\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Look at the graph below and notice the spike after 1977. Fat was<br \/>\nabolished and low-fat was promoted like it was going out of fashion.<\/p>\n<p>The belief was that fat, especially saturated fat was the main cause of&nbsp;cardiovascular disease. However this lie has been disproven. Click on&nbsp;the numbers to see the studies <a href=\"http:\/\/ajcn.nutrition.org\/content\/early\/2010\/01\/13\/ajcn.2009.27725.abstract\" target=\"_blank\">1<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/19364995\" target=\"_blank\">2<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/346\/bmj.e8539\" target=\"_blank\">3<\/a>&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/jama.jamanetwork.com\/article.aspx?articleid=189529\" target=\"_blank\">4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The fear of fat which people still uphold was introduced and frankly&nbsp;everything went wrong at that time exactly.<\/p>\n<p>But obviously you might be thinking: \u201cCorrelation does not&nbsp;equal causation?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However a <a href=\"http:\/\/jama.jamanetwork.com\/article.aspx?articleid=202339\" target=\"_blank\">low-fat diet DOES NOT prevent heart disease<\/a>&nbsp;or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/16467233\" target=\"_blank\">cancer<\/a>&nbsp;and will certainly&nbsp;not help with weight loss. This perception needs to be changed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sugary Sodas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/caloric-beverage-consumption-in-usa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5164\" src=\"http:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/caloric-beverage-consumption-in-usa.jpg\" alt=\"caloric-beverage-consumption-in-usa\" width=\"560\" height=\"358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/caloric-beverage-consumption-in-usa.jpg 560w, https:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/caloric-beverage-consumption-in-usa-300x192.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAs you can see in the graph the consumption of soda and fruit juices&nbsp;has increased.<\/p>\n<p>Now sugar sweetened beverages provide little to no nutritional benefits&nbsp;to the body and will increase weight gain, risk of diabetes, fractures&nbsp;and dental cavities. <a href=\"http:\/\/ajcn.nutrition.org\/content\/84\/2\/274.full\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> to view the study.<\/p>\n<p>Your brain does not \u201cregister\u201d liquid sugar&nbsp;calories in the same way as it does solid calories. So if you consume a certain number of calories from a sugary drink, then your brain&nbsp;doesn\u2019t automatically make you eat fewer calories of something else instead.<\/p>\n<p>Sugar sweetened beverages (only a single serving) is linked to a&nbsp;staggering <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thelancet.com\/journals\/lancet\/article\/PIIS0140-6736%2800%2904041-1\/abstract?cc=y=\" target=\"_blank\">60.1% increased risk of obesity in young children.&nbsp;<br \/>\n<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Not getting Enough Sleep<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/sleep.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5165\" src=\"http:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/sleep.gif\" alt=\"sleep\" width=\"414\" height=\"221\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.medscape.org\/viewarticle\/502825\" target=\"_blank\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Turns out people sleep less\u2026 wow who would have thought? But&nbsp;fact is that sleep is so important that if you don\u2019t get<br \/>\nenough your chances of gaining weight are higher.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There is a link to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC2398753\/\" target=\"_blank\">Short Sleep Duration and Obesity in Children&nbsp;and Adults<\/a>,&nbsp; in fact it is linked to an 89%&nbsp;increased risk in children, and a 55% increased risk in adults.<\/p>\n<p>In modern society sleep loss which is predominant (and in some cases&nbsp;even encouraged) could be a risk factor for major chronic diseases,&nbsp;including obesity and diabetes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Junk Food Is Cheaper<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/disposable-income-01.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5166\" src=\"http:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/disposable-income-01.png\" alt=\"disposable income-01\" width=\"576\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/disposable-income-01.png 576w, https:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/disposable-income-01-300x193.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/a>Source: Dr. Stephan Guyenet.<\/p>\n<p>Look at the graph above and one can clearly see that food prices have&nbsp;fallen from 25% of disposable income to about 10% of disposable income&nbsp;and this is in the past 80 years.<\/p>\n<p>Trouble is that these days real food is more expensive than processed&nbsp;junk food.<\/p>\n<p>Food manufacturers buy in bulk and they can source their ingredients at&nbsp;cheaper prices. Not to mention the nasty ingredients (like msg,&nbsp;transfats, vegetable oils etc) they add to give their products a longer&nbsp;shelf life. That sounds like a great deal for them.<\/p>\n<p>However, it\u2019s a bad deal for us. We consume this processed&nbsp;food which is in no way good for our health and waistline.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Holidays are a Huge Stumbling Block<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Holidays-01.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5167\" src=\"http:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Holidays-01.png\" alt=\"Holidays-01\" width=\"576\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Holidays-01.png 576w, https:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Holidays-01-300x193.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/a>Source: Dr. Stephan Guyenet.<\/p>\n<p>Truth is people will more likely than not gain weight over a longer&nbsp;period of time, not overnight.<\/p>\n<p>However, weight gain does spike during the holidays \u2013 No&nbsp;judgement but we tend to relax then and we do overindulge during the&nbsp;holiday season. Basically we eat more than we need to.<\/p>\n<p>But here is the catch. Let\u2019s say a person overdid it and&nbsp;gained 3lbs over the holiday period. Now in most cases the person will&nbsp;not lose the total of 3lbs, the may only lose 2lbs. So this will add to&nbsp;the annual weight gain over time but it is more significant.<\/p>\n<p>So there you have it \u2013 a big percentage of peoples lifetime&nbsp;weight gain can be explained by a short holiday period. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nejm.org\/doi\/full\/10.1056\/NEJM200003233421206\" target=\"_blank\">Click here<\/a> for the study.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Food Variety &amp; Choices&nbsp;Contributes to Weight Gain<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Variety-01.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5168\" src=\"http:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Variety-01.png\" alt=\"Variety-01\" width=\"480\" height=\"391\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Variety-01.png 480w, https:\/\/myuberdiet.com\/plan\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Variety-01-300x244.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAs you can see in the graph above a study was done on rats. The rats&nbsp;were divided into 3 groups. The 1st group got healthy rat food, the&nbsp;second got one variety of junk food and the 3rd group got a variety of&nbsp;junk food (at the same time).<\/p>\n<p>As you can see the rats that had the most variety gained the most&nbsp;weight.
