Here is a quick summary of Triglycerides (I promise to keep it short)

Right so you’ve probably been to the doctor and got your blood work done and the results are back… “Your Triglyceride levels are too high” the doc explains and you have absolutely no freaking idea what they are talking about.

…and since you don’t want to come across like a complete idiot you just nod and act as if nothing is wrong. That’s exactly what my mom did and when she came by my house quite hysterically, totally shocked and believed her life was over.

However, I reassured and told her that high Triglyceride levels is one of the easiest thing to fix with a proper diet* and if you want to add some extra boosting power about 15min of exercise every second day will do no harm…

What exactly are Triglycerides?

Triglycerides are a type of fat found in your blood. Here’s a picture, well just to give this culprit a name, right?

• Triglycerides are stored in your fat cells.
• … over a period of time high Triglyceride levels will lead to extra body fat.
• Hormones release triglycerides for energy between meals.
• So essentially you want to lower your Triglycerides and lose some weight.

Triglycerides are a very powerful cardiovascular risk marker. High Triglycerides may lead to:

• Indication of metabolic syndrome
